LOCATION CHOICES
I have given locations some thought and have come up with some great ideas which would link in very well for my idea of a ouija board.
Possible locations:
1. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE- The reason I came up with this idea is because when you think of old warehouses they're generally full of junk and old stuff just left around in massive piles. The rubble would give us the perfect location to find the Ouija board and a lot of space to run around through different rooms during the chase scene at the end before Keira's death.

2. CHURCH - This was another choice that came into mind as I discovered that another member in my films father is a priest and has the keys to a church in the middle of the forest. I thought this would be a brilliant setting due to the irony of the church being safe and positive also many of the links between religion and possession and the fact its in the forest adds a feeling of isolation into the audiences mind without blatantly stating it.
3. SCHOOL- The reason I decided to use a school as a location was because of the famous director and theorist Wes Craven. Many of his theories imply that true fear comes from places in which you are supposed to feel safe. For example a locked car or a hospital. The only reason I would think twice about this idea is that it would be a struggle to get a time where the school is completely empty and dark.
4. FOREST- I realised we have a large woodland area rather close to me the thought of filming my trailer in the Forest really unfolded into a great idea. The forest is really easy to get to and fortunately by 5 o'clock it gets dark giving me an advantage to use darkness as a fear.
Finally in our media text we decided to use an old rectory as our location choice as it was a creepy old house which we saw was effective like in films such as 'The Woman in Black'. We also liked it because of its religious connotations which are often linked to films based on possession, ouija boards and exorcisms.
