WES CRAVEN
Wesley Earl "Wes" Craven (born August 2, 1939) is an American film director, writer, producer, and actor known for his work on horror films, particularly slasher films. Wes craven had the idea that the scariest place to encounter horror in a film is in the safest places. This is places like schools, hospitals, or a church. This gives the audience the sense that if horror things are happening in the safest places then there is no safe place that we can go. An example of Wes craven theory is the hospital scenes from 'nightmare on elm street'.
Film Examples:
Nightmare on elm street
