HOW DID YOU USE NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PRODUCT?
The pieces of software we used were:
- Final Cut Pro
- Weebly
- Clip Converter
- Youtube
- QuickTime Player
- Camera Equipment
- Photoshop
The main equipment I used were the Sony SLT-A58. We also had a 16GB SD card which I used to store my film clips. To edit I had an Apple Mac with final cut pro on it. This was very simple to use as an editing software and this meant I could make a good quality trailer. In the clips bellow I explain how each piece of tech I used was useful for us. Everything I used became familiar to us and in the end became second nature to use, this meant that I could get things done quickly and efficiently and make a good trailer.

Weebly
Weebly was a great tool I used to create the website, it allowed me to create a portfolio of all of the content that went into all my research planning, creation and evaluation of my media products. In enabled me to present this content in a professional manor and was simple to use. I uploaded clips, images and other media content then analysed it with text to crate this portfolio.
Youtube
Youtube is a great social media platform, that allows users to view, upload and interact with content. It has become a vital feature in modern content sharing and is now a place people go to do a huge variation of things such as expressing opinions, v-logging day to day life, sharing music and showcasing talents. Youtube was a massively helpful tool in the process of completing my media products researching, planning and evaluating it. It gave me the opportunity to express important information in an interactive way and allowed me to easily upload my content to my website, also it was a great place to keep all my work in one place collectively. Youtube also helped me with my evaluation as it allowed viewers of my main product to comment, share, like and dislike my tailer, this interaction was a great way to evaluate my product as it gave me lots of feedback about aduiences opinions.
Photoshop
Photoshop is a tool used to edit photos, it has a flexible toolset that allow users to develop products in many ways layering it with writing symbols photos effects and overlays. I used photoshop to help me create effective professional ancillary texts, as you can see above I developed very simple images into a professional looking magazine cover and poster. I believe without photoshop I would have struggled to produce these products to the same level of quality which would have made them much less effective at supporting my main product.
Final Cut Pro
Final Cut Pro was the software I used to create my trailer. This software was very effective and easy to use, after simply importing clips, audio and images it allowed me to put together a professional trailer. The software also allowed me to input text, titles and distort images, clips and audio within the program. I also used final cut pro to edit videos from my research and planning which I found effective because its a better way to present information than simply writing about it.
Clip Converter
Clip Converter is a free online media conversion application, convert and download nearly any audio or video URL to common formats. I used this to retrieve audio for my trailer and other clips in my portfolio. It was effective because it can sometimes be very difficult to import audio and its very simple to use.
QuickTime Player
QuickTime Player was software I used help me evaluate my product. Its a software that allows you to take screen casts or film from the mac. I used this to screen cast things I did in many different softwares in this evaluation, I also used QuickTime Player to film my audience reaction to my trailer.
